General Manager Ron Hextall enters tonight's game one win shy of his 100th with the Pittsburgh Penguins. Hextall, who was hired by Pittsburgh on Feb. 9, 2021, has seen the Penguins go 99-49-19 in 167 games since taking over. He's looking to become the seventh general manager in franchise history to win 100 games with the team along with Craig Patrick (575), Ray Shero (373), Jim Rutherford (276), Baz Bastien (193), Ed Johnston (140) and Jack Riley (130), and is on track to accomplish this feat in the fewest games played in franchise history.
