The Pittsburgh Penguins have recalled forward Radim Zohorna from the taxi squad, it was announced today by general manager Ron Hextall.

Forward Brandon Tanev has been placed on injured reserve retroactive to March 18.
Forwards Sam Miletic and Justin Almeida have been re-assigned to the taxi squad from the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins of the American Hockey League.
Zohorna, 24, is looking to making his NHL debut. The 6-foot-6, 220-pound Zohorna has appeared in 11 games for WBS this season, recording nine points (3G-6A). Zohorna is playing in his first professional season in North America after signing with the Penguins as an undrafted free agent on April 29, 2020. He has played the last six seasons in the Czech Republic's top professional league, the Czech Extraliga, split between BK Mlada Boleslav and HC Kometa Brno.
Miletic, 23, has notched two points (1G-1A) in six games with WBS this season and has tallied 22 goals, 47 assists, 69 points in 117 career games at the AHL level.
Almeida, 22, is in his second season with the Penguins organization after being drafted by the team in the fifth round (129th overall) of the 2018 NHL draft. With WBS this season, the 5-foot-11, 165 pound forward has picked up one goal in three games.
Last season, Almeida split time with WBS and the Wheeling Nailers of the ECHL. The North Vancouver, British Columbia native spent the majority of the year with Wheeling where he registered 16 points (5G-11A) in 37 games.
Prior to turning pro, Almeida enjoyed a four-year career playing major junior hockey in the Western Hockey League. He racked up 111 points (33G-78A) in 64 games with the Moose Jaw Warriors in 2018-19, and his 78 assists ranked first in the entire league. Almeida finished his WHL career with 243 points (89G-154A) in 256 games played with the Warriors and Prince George Cougars.
Pittsburgh continues its five-game homestand tonight against the Buffalo Sabres. Puck drop is at 8:00 p.m.
